Toyah Willcox (born May 18, 1958 in King's Heath, Birmingham, England) is a British actress and singer.
She number 1 became easily-known in a period of the punk rock era, her appearances in Derek Jarman's 1977 film Jubilee and 1979's Who album-inspired Quadrophenia launching her as a provocative and anti-establishment figure, an image which she finally threw dispatch. Her cantabile career took off shortly afterward, by owning hits like "I Want to be Free" & "It's a Mystery". Around 1983, she was voted Best Female Singer at a British Rock & Pop Awards, & inside 1986 she married avant-garde musician, Robert Fripp.
Since so, Toyah has turn into the easily-known (& other conventional) face in television and in the theatre. She has played straight roles, including around Quatermass (1979) and in Shakespeare plays, and appeared as a presenter of programmes like Songs of Praise and Holiday (BBC). Within 1999, she took the lead in the youngsters's television series, Barmy Aunt Boomerang. She besides will bring a voiceover for the toddlers's television programme, a Teletubbies. She has too appeared in the reality television series ''I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! and I'm Famous and Frightened!''.
